Being a 'commercial' painter, it is sometimes difficult to sustain creativity and excitement... Every day is a routine - Wake up, gym (if I'm good and in the mood), bath, paint, bath, catch up on paperwork, read, sleep... You will note my bath is my fave part of my day... Therapy... But doing this routine day after day, year after year, does take some of the shine off the 'fun' of painting... I am trying something new to shake the cobwebs... Monday, Tuesday and Wednesdays are for painting 'commercially'... Thursday mornings are for painting in a group (another form of therapy) and are for 'series' - long term goals for an exhibition. And Fridays (when I am not having to sort out household stuff) is for painting from the heart... These are normally paintings of my children - or painting subject matter that may or may not sell... I am currently doing paintings of the children from our trip to China.

Nick also posed for me for some paintings I have been wanting to do... They fall into the Friday group as well... They will sell but if they don't, I have loved painting them - which is the sole purpose of Friday's :)
